Participants are encouraged to attempt every problem.
Participants and teams belong to either Division E or Division M. Division E is intended for elementary school students, and Division M is intended for middle school students. The two divisions will receive different problem sets.
Individual students are automatically placed into Division E or M based on their grade level. They will take the corresponding Mental Math and Algebra and Probability Math exams for their division. Teams are categorized as Division E or M based on the highest grade level on the team. They will take the corresponding Geometry & Number Theory exams for their division.

During the awards ceremony, we will present trophies to the three highest-scoring participants in the individual round for both the elementary and middle school division. The top three teams for each division will recieve medals.
A participant’s individual score is the number of questions which they answer correctly. We will only grade their final answers, so participants do not have to show their work. Students will be ranked by the number of students who scored higher than them in their division. Scoring for group rounds will be similar to the individual rounds, except they will be scored as team for the single answer sheet they turn in.
Ties will be broken based on the last question which one student has the correct answer to and the other does not. We will not publicly release the scores or ranks of students who did not receive awards.
