Castro Valley Junior Math Tournament

The Castro Valley Junior Math Tournament (CVJMT) is a math contest for middle and elementary school students. It is hosted by CV Mu Alpha Theta, the high school math club.

We’re Back and Bigger than Ever!

It was once againt that time of season. CVJTM season and this year we have expanded. This year’s tournament will be open to students from not just Castro Valley, but all over the Bay.It will be hosted in-person at the Castro Valley High School Cafeteria on March 1st, 2024. Congratulations to our 2023 CVJMT winners!

The top-scoring participants in the elementary school division were Sebastian Lui, Max Wu, and Toby Leung, and the top-scoring participants in the middle school division were James Siu, Christopher Kuo, and Tulasi Venkatesh. The top two teams in the elementary school division were Nathan Wu, Sebastian Lui, and Toby Leung in Team N, and Chloe Li, Dylann Chu, Max Wu, and Yaokun Zhao in Team Pi. The top two teams in the middle school division were Christopher Kuo, James Siu, John Liu, and Hang Ruan in Team Delta, and Brandon Li, Celena Li, Isaac Ioi Hong Ng, and Avorie I Tong Ng in Team Kappa. Congratulations to all sixteen of our winners!
